The Ensemble

The Bermondsey Chamber Orchestra is an ensemble formed by world class musicians who regularly perform in top orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia, the BBC Symphony Orchestra to name a few.

The ensemble found an amazing venue for its residency in St. Mary Magdalen Church, steeped in history, offering lovely acoustic and located in the heart of Bermondsey Street. The BCO shares with the Church the goal of bringing the diverse community of Bermondsey together, drawing the thread that connects heritage to the current ever-changing world. Music has a special way of achieving that, presenting in a live event works from the past that still resonate with everyone in a very personal yet universal way. It’s nothing short of magic.

The BCO collaborates as well with the White Cube Bermondsey gallery, an incredible space where music dialogues with modern art. There we have the possibility to show alternative perspectives on relevant themes through different art forms, amplifying the universality of art’s own message.
